Taking it slow

Enjoying Christmas with family we did a few long walks which I take as the start of Marathon training, time on my feet!

Still have not found the training plan that I used for my virtual marathon but went on Strava and wrote down the runs I did.

My achillies is slightly playing up so on Tuesday I opted for a 5-mile walk with a friend. We both got soaked luckily it wasn’t too cold. I popped in Hot Pod Yoga for a session after which warmed me up nicely.

On Friday I did my first training run which went ok except I have terrible neck and shoulder pain at the moment. I got a leg massage, and she checked my neck and shoulders. Not good! My neck has compressed and my shoulder muscles have tightened. This weekend coming, I have some treatment booked so I am not running at the moment just doing walks. Hopefully, my next blog will be a bit more interesting.
