Although training sessions vary throughout the year, the below shows a sample based on our current schedule (members can find the full details of the sessions in the Eagles Nest).

The club is managed by a committee and has several qualified coaches within the membership. All of them offer their time on a voluntary basis - in fact the club is completely run by volunteers.

We encourage new members or those thinking of joining to start with a club run. Please contact us if you would like information on where we meet for club run.

Details of all training sessions are added to Facebook and to Spond (an app which is free to download at this link: Spond)

Monday

Morning
Variety of sessions depending on the season and also to accommodate a variety of intervals / hills sessions

Evening Club Run
WINTER ROUTE (mid-Sept to end of March): Choice of a “short” 3.75 miles (6km) or “long” 4.75 miles (7.6km).

SUMMER ROUTE: (April to mid-Sept): Choice of a“short” 3.3miles (5.3k) or “long” 5.3miles (8.5k).

These runs set off at 7.30pm from Ealing Green, both routes have tail-runners and a group cool-down session is held at the end.

Tuesday

Morning 10k at 10
Informal, self-led run taking place most weeks with a core of regulars.

Evening - Track / Intervals
1. Ealing Parks / Osterley Track – check Facebook / Spond for start time. During the lighter months (April-September) we make the most of Ealing’s many parks for interval sessions. We rotate between Blondin, Lammas, Ealing Common and Pitshanger Park.

From Mid-September to end of March we use Osterley Track, which the club books sole use of, with members benefitting from a discounted rate. These sessions are open to all abilities and may be designed to help build up to specific races or distance targets.

If you’ve never experienced running at a track before, these sessions are great for gaining fitness. A qualified coach will always be on hand to lead the session and help first-timers.

2. Perivale Track @ 7pm. A group of faster Eagles train at Perivale Track on a Tuesday night at 7pm. The coaching team strongly recommends you only join this session if you have recently run a 5km in under 19mins (men) or 20mins (women) as sessions are set for these paces.

We do not have sole use of the track and it is often very busy with other clubs using it at the same time, therefore if you do attend it’s important to follow track etiquette. There is always a session set in advance, however the session is normally self-led with no coach.

If you would like more information on either of these sessions please email coaching@ealingeagles.com.
