The latest guidance for running during this stage of lockdown easing

The government have confirmed the move to the next stage of their roadmap. From today, 17th May, in England.

  • People can now meet indoors in groups of up to six or two households, or in groups of up to 30 outdoors. Overnight stays are allowed

  • Pubs, bars and restaurants can serve customers indoors

  • Museums, cinemas, children's play areas, theatres, concert halls and sports stadiums can all reopen, as can hotels

  • Social distancing guidance is changing and contact with other households like hugs is a matter of personal choice

We are awaiting the latest guidance from England Athletics with regards to coached sessions so these will continue as planned for now.

As a club, we are taking a cautious approach to this latest stage. As our runs are generally held in public spaces we feel it is right that we continue to only run in small, considerate groups while the community gets used to these new rules. We'll monitor how the next few weeks go and look to update our own guidance again by mid-June.
