Advice to members on running during the lockdown

due to the current Covid-19 restrictions on group exercise, we have temporarily suspended any group training sessions or socials but we hope to be back a soon as it is safe to do so.

We are waiting for updated guidance from England Athletics following the measures announced by the Government last week, easing some more lockdown restrictions. The Eagles coaching team will be reviewing what we can offer after that.

1. The government's ‘Rule of Six’ means that socially distanced groups of up to 6 can meet inside and outdoors. However, we share paths and roads with other users and it is not possible to run considerately as a group of 6 in Ealing yet. We advise members to continue to run in 2s or 3s but we would discourage any larger groups at this stage.

2. The club is offering many virtual options to motivate members to train at different levels which can be found in the members’ area of the website, we hope you are enjoying these.

Please stay safe when running

  • Maintain at least a 2m social distance where possible

  • Be courteous to other people who may be running, cycling or walking in the same area

  • Avoid places you know will be busy

  • Try to avoid running in the road and pay attention to road crossings
